The genre has only grown since then, encompassing epic stand-alone adventures along with vast online worlds populated by a healthy mix of friends and enemies. RELATED: The Best Weapons And Best Pieces Of Armor Found In Baldur's Gate 3 (So Far) The third installment in the series is proving to be just as popular as its predecessors. In the 1990s, the Baldur's Gate series, which was based on the lore of the Dungeons & Dragons universe, took the fad to a whole new level with two smash hits that used the tabletop game's rules. The formula was simple but successful, consisting of a protagonist and their party traveling, leveling up, completing quests, and of course, filling those pockets with sweet, sweet treasure. But in town it is just too much.Tabletop RPGs were some of the first games to make it to computers and consoles when video games were still new. Though, not sure if they patched it, but the loading times is horrible, sure not at first, but the longer in you progress, the longer the loading times. Was a bit sceptic at first, since on PC there is so much mouse-clicking, and menus that it simply seems so much better suited for a PC, but it makes me happy to say: this port from PC to console is surprisingly good. It has good voice-acting, but those moments are rare, since this game is a very text-heavy tale, so if you despise reading your stories this RPG might not be for you.
